Information about the Coronavirus COVID-19
For us at MTRX, the safety of our travelers and employees is always our highest priority, so even now. We want everyone on board our trains to feel safe. We therefore follow the recommendations from the authorities and are prepared for rapid changes. On June 4, the Public Health Agency announced that the restrictions for domestic travel should be lifted from June 13. We are doing a number of things to increase the security of travel.
MTRX offers free masks for all travelers. The masks are distributed by MTRX service hosts in connection with departure. We would like to emphasize that the masks is an extra precaution and that you should only travel if you are completely healthy and symptom-free. MTRX enables all customers to cancel their planned trip. In the FLEX and 1 CLASS PLUS ticket classes, all tickets are as usual refundable and in the FIX ticket class you can now cancel and receive a voucher with the corresponding value for future trips.
MTRX makes sure that passengers are distributed evenly onboard as far as possible as well as enables all customers to ad next seat free and thereby increasing the distance to their fellow travelers. This applies in the FIX and FLEX ticket classes. In 1 CLASS PLUS next seat free is always included.
At the same time, MTRX refers to general advice from the Public Health Authority regarding Covid-19 before and during the trip.
Can I re-book or off my ticket if I get sick or change plans?
Yes. If you contact our customer service no later than 24 hours before departure, you can cancel your FIX trip, with departure day until January 1st, and receive a voucher of the corresponding amount valid until October 31st 2021. If you have a FLEX or 1 CLASS PLUS ticket, you can cancel your ticket as usual. You can easily do this via the booking confirmation you received when booking.
To cancel, email your booking reference to [email protected] at least 24 hours before departure. The voucher will be sent to your email address within three weeks.
Can I book next seat free if I want more distance to my fellow travelers?
Yes. You can book an extra free seat for your FIX or FLEX ticket free of charge. In 1 CLASS PLUS next seat free is always included. The offer is valid for new bookings with departure day until January 1st . Bookings already made are not affected.
How do I ad a next seat free?
You do this in step four when you book your ticket by clicking on the preselected seat you have been allocated. If you are traveling with a 1 CLASS PLUS ticket, then this is already included in the price.
What kind of mask do you offer on board?
The mouth guards are CE-marked and manufactured by Mölnlycke. Product name: Mölnlycke BARRIER REF4228 and standard: EN14683: 2014
How many masks do I get for the trip?
The trip includes one mask.
Can you travel with MTRX if you are sick or have symptoms and use a mask?
No, if you are ill or have symptoms, you should stay at home until you are healthy and have been symptom-free for at least two days according to the recommendations of the Public Health Authority. If you become ill or have symptoms before your summer trip, you can cancel your ticket by contacting our customer service.
Can I require my fellow travelers to use a mask?
No, it is optional to use a mask during the journey, but showing consideration for their fellow travelers is always important.

Why do you offer masks when it’s not recommended by the Public Health Authority?
We offer masks as an extra safety measure. WHO recommends masks and some European countries eg. Germany, England and France have introduced this as a requirement or recommendation. We want to enable more people to travel safely this summer and therefore believe that free masks are something that some customers will appreciate.
What other measures do you have on the train as a result of Covid-19?
In addition to our usual cleaning routines, we have introduced daily cleaning with disinfectants and increased supervision of the toilets several times during the journey. During the inspection, touch surfaces are wiped with disinfectant. We have also taken a number of measures in our cafe on board. There are markings on the floor of the cafe and at the toilets to reduce the risk of queues. Hand sanitizer is available in the café.
