Despite its small size, Katrineholm is a perfect excursion destination for the whole family. In the city there are as many as 25 playgrounds for the younger ones to explore and at the popular Fiskeboda Camping there is a well-visited and shallow swimming area that many are happy to visit in the summer. At the campsite there is also mini golf and the opportunity to rent SUP boards and canoes. Björkvik's self-picking is also a popular destination for the whole family during the summer. Here you can pick (and taste!) Strawberries, raspberries and saskatoons at fine bulk prices.
Katrineholm is also known for all the surrounding lakes that offer fine fishing. With a fishing license you can fish for noble fish, salmonid fish, rainbow trout, trout, perch, pike and pikeperch. If you do not want fish, there are at least as many bathing places around the lakes that invite you to relax and cozy atmosphere.
It is also easy to be active in Katrineholm. There are plenty of hiking trails and bike-friendly roads in the area, more than 140 km of hiking trails and trails. They stretch through varied nature and take you on new experiences in beautiful surroundings and swell gardens.
